What are the pros and cons to Building your own tank ?

yeah, like what most of these guys are saying, i live with my parents (don't worry i'm only 16) and if my diy tank bursts.... OMG all hell will rain loose on me. That's why i've been reading almost every thread on DIY tanks to learn from their mistakes and make sure i don't make any of those mistakes. But incase you took my first post wrong, I 100% encourage you to make your own tank, just do your research first. Also, one important deduction from my research when doing a DIY tank: don't be stingy on your materials. Quality = performance.

Cons= Time consuming, labour intensive and tank failure is your failure.
Pros= pride, satisfaction, self accomplishment, better insulating properties and can be more cost effective.

one con that i have seen other people run into is when you build a custom tank, its often very difficult if not impossible to move if you ever move and your housing situation changes
