what are the tropical temp snakeheads?

Brucki, OK, so most channas are tropical. You have pointed it out too (I also didn't bother counting). Thats what the thread starter was asking. And please don't demean fishbase. Most hobbyist like using it. If you people are so on about channas, you should contribute to fishbase sincerely. Thats all I have to say. Hey I don't really even like channas!!

I see I need am in need of some books. I thought i knew, Now I know I don't. I use common names, the real playas are using scientific names. Which is the common name for the snakehead native to the philippines? I have recently gotten 2 here, the red and the splendid SH.

So after corrections to your list, (some were changed to sub-tropical, some taken out of the equasion either due to being both ST & TR or unknown) add these to the sub-tropical list, and I rekon there ARE MORE sub-tropicals.

i keep all of these in subtropical conditions,and some i try to keep alot colder than that,especially the true blue,meg leopard,and the emerald.
with the winter months now upon us ill be getting these tanks down to about 15 degrees,these stewarti variants really like cold water,the colours and marking come out really nice.
the likes of fire and ice and redfins,my subtrop tanks that they are kept in i will only let them go down to about 18 degrees.

i also think that there are more snakeheads that are sub-tropical.. specially a lot of dwarf channa.. seems like there are a lot of new species getting discovered nowadays.. thats why fishbase is outdated..
