I'm referring to those used for food or otherwise. Or for sport. What are they? I know a few like Nile tilapia, Blue tilapia, mozambique tilapia, but what are the others?

Barramundi is becoming very important.....Many of our favorites are hunted for food.....Pima, dats......Catfish like bullheads and channels cats are raised for food but are not tropical.....ditto for the carp family and sturgeon....paddlefish.....

Cichla (Peacock Bass) have been planted all over the warmer regions for use as a sport fish.

Osphronemus.goramy are farmed in aquaculture in ASIA.They are a valable food source and as i've heard, very tasty...

Brilliant. I'm thinking of opening a small pond - 700 acres. I live in the tropics, and I'd like a list of fish I can add to them.

A small pond? 700 acres would hardly be considered a "small pond" around here! :WHOA:

Where are you located, if you don't mind saying?
