I've got 7 G. Red heads in a 125g SA community. I've been feeding Xtreme aquatics peewee cichlid pellets, NLS community formula, New Era C/A S/A formula and frozen mysis and blood worms.

They ignore Kens earthworm, brineshrimp and veggie sticks, and they don't really do much with the New era pellets either. If I could get the blood worms down to the bottom of the tank before they are destroyed by the other fish I think they would eat some, but they don't seem interested in the shrimp.

What are you guys feeding?

Pellets (NLS, Omega 1, YourFishStuff veggie) & an occassional frozen treats (blood worms, mysis, etc)

Mine get live black worm and hikari cichlid gold or carnivore on alternating days, then frozen bloodworms incase i run out of black worms. Im fortunate to have a LFS nearby that sells live black worms by the ounce! Going to get more tmw actually lol. Mine ignore the algae wafers i put in because i read its good for the digestive system of any fish as a once in a while thing.

Got 3 brasiliensis in a 30 theyre only like an 1.5 inch though lol.

Cmon guys, I know there are way more geo owners out there. Throw me a bone! Lol.

I have a group of 6 breeding RH Taps about 6-7" I feed NLS Thera A+ 1mm pellets. (bone thrown!)

All my small geos eat NLS Cichlid Formula 1mm sinking pellets. That includes young (2 - 4") orangeheads/redheads. Mine are aggressive eaters and will gladly push their way to the top if they think they aren't going to get any food. Once it sinks they head back to the bottom and start sifting.

One of the perks of being a stay at home dad right now, I can feed pretty aggressively (course increased water changes so that's a downside :D). I feed O.S.I. Spirulina Flake Food 3x a week once in the morning. The remainder of the week I feed NLS Thera+ A Sinking Pellets and NLS Premium.. I feed in intervals of 4-6 times from 6am to 9pm. It's pretty cool being able to watch them sift all day long. If I miss a block in the day due to taking a kid to the Dr or something like that, the fsh let me know as every last one of them swarms the front of the glass to the top of the tank until I put something in there. They've shown some great growth I think.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I'll be picking up some Thera A.
