OUCH!! What about the mess?? Did your kids know how to clean it up? Hope damage was minimal. Lol, doesn't it seem like this stuff happens every time you try to help out!? he he I'm kiddin
 
they did there best. being both adopted and mentally challenged they did a good job, I finished the rest when i got home.
 
was a grow out for the JD fry, like i said around 9 still alive back in mom and pops tank, they between 1/4 and 1/2" , they make it till this weekend i move em back. but at this point they competition, JD pair have already started the nesting procedures. new fry to come.
 
what makes me mad is its going to take me a good 3 months to get a well seeded and algae ridden tank for JD fry, fry are and juveniles are grazers. they need that algae. its good for them.

Do you set up a tank out in the sun?
 
naa , leave enough nutrients in the water (this does not mean bad water, do the water changes) and algae grow with some light. we fight it on our tanks all the time but not bad for the fish, we just not like seeing it, and if compeatly on its own the tank go dark because all glass walls covered, I use a rouge pleco on all my other tanks to clean them up, (yes he gets pleco chips and veggies also). he about 8 inches now, 14" retired to the 180 and the 4" going to take his place. was a bummer in another 4 weeks the rouge was going to have a feast.
