I used to love the way my air pump ran undergravel filter sounded, like trickling water, wish I could recreate that sound with my Fluval.
 
my sleeping pleco here, he is on coarse gravel, this taken tonight while he napping, about 14". tank has a reverse UG running with rest of filtration.

me neither, but Im into my geos atm.Also trying live plants for the first time, bet they'd like the sand too.
 
same pleco about 20 min before. I reversed the UG, there are 2 of them (about 1400gph) and put sponges on the now intakes. 7" sponges.

yup. my 180 is bottom drilled , 2 - 4" bulls with stand up threw the middle for either out lets or intakes. having it reversed I can put sponges on the stand ups. and then the sponges filter the water and have it come up through the gravel rather than debrea being pulled into the gravel.

then straight gravel,,, vid of JD spawning today. that rock is now fully covered with eggs.

not sure what kind of UG you are running, I have 2 pumps under the tank, not power heads, a mighty might and a blue line.
 
I see news on the missing plane didn't interest your JDs at all lol! Don't have an UG anymore, got a couple fluvals.
