hope those fluval work well for you, they make the best HoB out there but there canisters are the spawn of satin in my world.
 
there's a great zztop performance with special guest Carmen Electra if I remember correctly, it was Legs and Sharp dressed man
 
I was warned on my Oscar sight and did not listen, i now have a brand new fluval 405 rotting in my garage. I have a pillow case that hold water better.
 
I haven't had any trouble with them. I was tired of my hob filters, they weren't fluvals, but they were noisy and clogged too often for me.
 
IMHO should run a combo of both, Hob mec filters, easy to clean, AC110 or AC70 and last for ever (that is fluval makers) , for canister ehiem hands down. for same reason. reliable and last for ever.

I have 404 & 405. My 4 is more quiet than my 5, I think made better also.
 
long as they working for you, remember every time you open it lube the seals with food grade silicone, cheap at a hard ware store.
