What are your secrets??? Im struggling to keep my plants green and I have like 7wpg is that to much? I dont use CO2 because its only 3.7 nano. I use Seachem Flourish Excel.
Any pointers?

On a small nano tank the wpg rule doesnt really apply. Excel is basically a Co2 substitue, what your plants are missing are nutriants. you need to start dosing ferts to get the best out of your plants. basically your giving them the right conditions to grow fast but nothing to keep them healthy as they grow. ferts are like food to them.
Are you using Seachem Flourish or just Excel? flourish excel are 2 different products...

If your not I would start using Seachem Flourish every other day and also Seachem Iron on alternating days. And then just keep using Excel like you have been. if you have been using flourish you might want to try to increase the dose.

What substrate do you have in the tank? is it new? might want to try some root ferts in the gravel if its a new substrate.

Also what plants are you trying to grow, some just dont do well without real co2 injection, root fertilization, and high light....other need more iron in the water. theirs alot of factors involved for plants. these are just a few things off the top of my head.

Well I have some sort of sword, clovers, sword grass, and im not sure about the rest I got them from a friend. here is a picture of my tank

not enough substarte for one.

prolleytrying too hard. maybe do some ferts with just plain gravel but no need to go crazy and you dont have 7 wpg...that rule doesnt apply to anything under 15 gallons

a little more substrate probably wouldn't hurt. it's a really nice tank otherwise; you going to put fish in there or what? ;)

Yeah it's cycled and all there are soem shrimp in there. I just don't know what to put in there.

I agree that you need to make sure the plants are getting plenty of Iron, and also potassium. I started using Kent Freshwater Plant and got a major improvement.

I agree with ewurm. Those swords are gonna need fert supplements, especially iron. Most swords are heavy root feeders, and wont do well without some sort of root tab. Are you using flourite or eco-complete for substrate? I think those also help alot.

I doudt the addition of CO2 would hurt it! Its really really easy!!!!! All you have to do is get an Empty 3litre bottle and drill a hole in the top of it. Fill it 5/6 the way up with Luke warm Tap water.
1. Pour the Tap water into a Bucket
2. Add 2 Cups of Sugar
3. Stirr
4. Add 1/4 teaspoon of yeast
5. Stirr
6. Funnel the mixture back into the 3L Bottle
7. Put an Air Line Tube into the The hole at the top of the Bottle
8. Seal the whole with silicone to make sure all the Air in the bottle is going through the Tube
9. Run Tube into Power Head of Filter
10. Walla, By the next Morning you'll hear CO2 bubbles being pumped into the tank.

Total Project Cost: $5.00..............real real easy!!!!!!!!!
