Coryloach said the fish was ALLERGIC to meds? lol

Has anyone ruled out fungus?

Im not a disease pro so i have no idea about the fungus. Doesnt look like it to me but who knows i guess its a possibility.

His 1st statement was egotistical at best. Glad the convo moved to an actual cure

To be fair the guy is really knowledgeable. He just needed a nudge to become useful

Im sorry that i made you waste your time with that thread. That guy coryloach is an #ss you didnt do anything wrong.

It is not your first time ganging up on people and swaying the opinions of others to suit yourself, or at least trying hard to do so. You always do it in a separate thread....same tactics all over again. I am not the only one you've done it to unfortunately. I've kept my mouth shut long enough but you are just a bully and an attention seeker.

We said our peace to each other on the other thread. Nothing i said here that you dont know already. I dont like you and you dont like me... the world will continue to turn. Do we really need that warm and fuzzy feeling with everyone ? Im not a bully but do have a bad habit of calling b.s. when i see it. I'll try my best to work on that for the betterment of the community lol.

Trust me buddy im in no position to sway anyones opinion.
Not many care about what i think lol.

At lesst im honest....did give you a compliment.

Lets just end this here or ttake it to pms. We both know how this will play out.

Like I said in the other thread. You can keep your opinion to yourself and not make it public. The problem is you can't help yourself...

Our history goes quite a while back and it is the first time I publicly insult you, where you've done so on every occasion you get. And I've seen you doing the same to many others, you apparently don't like for one or another reason.

Nothing I said on the other thread had anything to do with you and was certainly not intended to insult the OP. It was all targeted at the welfare of the fish, hence I did say I am "starting with criticism" wide and open for the OP to know....I am not a sneaky person, unlike you...

I know people don't like criticism but I've got to say what I think is right for the sake of the fish. Most of the disease threads remain unsolved for a reason. Sympathy is not empathy and both don't help much when it comes to fish diseases.

Individual fish, like any other animals can be allergic to certain medications and react adversely even though others of the same species do not. I am glad you found it funny.

I dont think i'll be keeping my opinions to myself anytime soon. How about this, you start a thread somewhere maybe the lounge or send a pm and i'll give you all the attention in the world. Maybe i'll find some personal growth. Infact someone started a thread a while back for this specific reason. I'll find it for you

But please lets not do this here. We both know how it will play out. I'll try and prove my point, you'll do the same. I wont pretend to be polite, the thread will get locked and i'll probably receive a live not from one of the mods.... we've been there... done that. Enjoy your sunday

Hello; Just read thru this thread. I have nothing to add regarding the treatment of the fish in question. I do want to point out that the principle of a Quarantine has worked well in this situation.
When I QT new fish and they get sick I feel like a winner even if the fish dies. Winner in that I have not infected any of my established tanks. While I would also like to have the new fish get well, that is a bonus if it does happen.

I guess there can be reasons to pre-treat new fish but I do not do such. My success in treating sick fish is spotty over time. There are a few illnesses for which the treatment is clear enough but many are mysteries. I have thrown medications at problems when not really knowing the main cause. This rarely works but if a fish is in bad shape why not at least try.

Being a wild caught fish as I understand this fish is, there can be any number of issues. Some may be beyond anyones ability to fix. There may have been trauma during capture and transport. There may have been exposure to toxins or disease during transport and holding including parasites. Way too many sources of problems so I keep a QT around and hope for the best.

Too bad the OP has this problem and good luck

Great point. Lost is the fact that op's quarantine method more than likely saved his other fish from contracting the disease.
