Black arowanas are generally not smaller than silvers. They get around the same size. But their growth rate is slower than that of silvers.

IMO, they are expensive, but not rare. Here is a picture of a local selling his black arowana.

You tell me if its worth the extra $300+ lol.

so im thinking of a black or a jardini and putting the tank in my garage i have a 250g on the way and im going to use a 6x2x2 as a grow out tank first but i guess the tank mates im going to put is clown knife, oscars, jack dempsy, ornate bichirs and my clown loaches when they get bigger
