according to official record, congicus is the largest species, 3 ft (fishbase lists the official record at 97cm). i suspect it won't get that big in captivity, i think 3 ft could be rare even in the wild, but thats just me guessing. hard to say whats the max size is in captivity, i suppose probably around 30", though it could be larger or smaller depending on many factors. i think CDM's congicus is 23" (forgot where i read that), and going from 21" to 23" wasn't a quick process.whoa! didn't realize that congicus would grow to become that huge! what is the max size in captivity of this sp?
