Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Unfortunately I am limited to what I can get at some small local store and Petco/Petsmart. If you choose other tell me what I should get, no Africans or anything extremely aggressive or shy.

80 gallon, by its self.

Midas. Easy choice, imo. BP's are ugly and deformed, FH's are rediculously agressive and the "nicer" specimens are also ugly and deformed, chocolates and sevs are very nice, but not fish I would keep in a single specimen tank, and I'm not a big fan of acaras, so midas is the winner imo.

midas and fh are aggro so you can cross them off, you already have bps so my vote would be the chocolate, never owned one but hear they have great personality, but for a single species tank i would do midas because aggro doesnt matter. Blue acara would leave the tank looking empty

Most midas I've seen actually haven't been nearly as aggressive as their reputation would indicate. They are definitely less aggressive than FH's.

Well I might add another or a few depending on the fish but I'm on the fence. I could add say 4 Blood Parrots but only one or 2 Midas. Thats why I said by its self. A species tank rather than specimen.

Oh, well in that case, FH isn't an option, and midas is only an option if you get a pair. And I have heard that chocolate cichlids are also aggressive toward others of the same species/body shape, so they may have to be kept in a pair as well. And btw "by itself" indicates that what you are referring to is a specimen tank, it really isn't by itself in the tank if there are other fish with it.
