Anything not stated I should look into getting?
JD, oscar, texas (though I'm not sure of their temperment), true parrot, uaru
^^but all of those I mentioned also have to be kept singly or in pairs, except for the O's and maybe the uarus.

I would love a true parrot but they are really rare and doubt I would be able to get my hands on one. I have 2 oscars, had a jack dempsey and texas.

how about 1 severum and a group of geophagus.

midas and fh are aggro so you can cross them off, you already have bps so my vote would be the chocolate, never owned one but hear they have great personality, but for a single species tank i would do midas because aggro doesnt matter. Blue acara would leave the tank looking empty

I voted for the chocolate as well, and I agree that an 80G would look very empty with just a blue acara in it . . .

did you consider Green Terror instead of Blue Acara?

I have one in my 55 gallon with my turtle. I'm thinking either a chocolate or 2 if I can find them which I doubt or a couple medium sized ones. I don't want the midas anymore.

i wouldnt put a pair of midas in a 80g but i think a lone male would look awesome by himself and would have plenty of personality, and some people are able to keep smaller, fast schooling fish (like larger tetras or higher bodied barbs) with their midas. IMO you wont be sorry if you go for the male midas they are great :) and yeah midas are aggressive but IMO def not as aggressive as most FH, usually in large tanks you can still keep midas with tankmates but FH can almost never be kept with tankmates unless the tank is totally massive. and i think midas look better anyways, and you could try and get a creamsicle or piebald one to get a little more unique of a look
