I personally like Canon Cameras...I use 5D, but the rebels are good value, but seriously, buy 'digital photography for dummies' or something like that, give it a quick read, it will really help.

the book is great advice i have more money in books laying around once you get a camera (easy part) the hard part is learning how to get great pictures
and a guide to buying cameras is usally in most.
