What can be kept and in what sized tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For some fish this is true...but not with pbass.

Obviously pbass will need more room than the average fish to turn around. 24 inches is pushing it...

But they also need length. Pbass are fast striking fish. They need that extra length.

True...

But if people didn't buy fish they know they can't keep....

Problem solved....

Ditto both.

Does someone know how many P.Bass can be kept in a 180, and if the tank should be single species only or if they could/should be mixed with other fish?

Also are they tolerant of plants, driftwood, pretty much aquascaping in general.

I personally would not keep any....for life anyway...

But if you must I wouldn't go more than 2. The pbass will be stunted though.

Pbass are tolerant of most decor in a tank.

you can mix with other pbass as well as other species like stingrays aros dats anything that wont pick on it too bad and wont fit in its mouth and the size of the fish will determine the size tank they can live in

you could put a lot of babies in the 180 and grow them out picking the best looking ones or hopefully getting a breeding pair out of them or 1-2 sub adults lets say >20 in in a 180 wide and >14 in a 180 tall which will leave them just enough room to turn but ideally you'd have them in a 3 ft wide tank when they are approaching adulthood 4 ft for the larger species
