Didn't know crayfish were illegal for you, sorry about that. Guppies are good, mosquito fish are better. Mosquito fish grow a little faster and they reproduce like crazy. Mollieas are a poor choice mainly because they eat the fry and you have to keep an eye on the females so you can seperate them into one of those fry savers.

whatever u do make sure you provide alot of cover for them to ensure a higher survival rate for ur fry. id say shrimp and live bearers. convicts look after there young but there really aggresive so youcouldnt keep much with them if you wanted them to just breed in the tank. like i said shrimp and live bearers.
