I have one laying around and I want to do something with it besides guppies or Molly's I'm used to keeping much bigger aquariums so I'm not sure what would be sufficient in this size of tank. I've bred convicts before but it was in a 100 gallon with a few other fish of course I've also bred betas maybe betas are an option?? Idk give suggestions on weather I should use the 20 gallon for breeding or other purposes

Convicts, sijca, cutteri, chetumalensis apistogrammas. The bigger guys I would put them in as a grow out then upgrade to a 29 and give them more room.

Ok I'm not too familiar with them any way. any other suggestions ??
Or should I make it a community tank of some sort I'm not sure just need some input I don't know what to do with it it's already cycled and has been running for a few months all I need to do is add the fish. Just what fish :)

If you want a community I'd go with apistogrammas and make a mini biotope.

Having had Cutteri I would NOT recommend breeding them in a 20 long. My male killed his female while living in a 40 breeder. They are very aggressive when breeding.

That's true I've heard Chet's and other cryptoheros are like that too

Still looking for a fish species to put in there. Are there any fish who's fry grow up quickly that can be bred in a 20 gallon long?

I don't know if anyone have done this but how about dwarf puffers? Just try it out, actually there's a lack of info regarding puffer breeding so what do you know you might have a go with it? or maybe bettas, try to breed a good looking betta in there! Just feed the extra fish to your predator if you don't want em, specially you've got a rtc in your pic.
