what can I breed in a 30 gal?

Im looking to breed something in my 30 gal, other than guppies. I was thinking some smaller plecos or some Cichlids (other than convicts), but I'm not sure what species will thrive is such a small tank. If you have any ideas or any experience please let me know.
 
Blue rams would be cool to have. You could put at least 5 or 6 in a 30 gal. Apistogramma or Microgeophagus ramirezi (both of these names are used :screwy: ) max out around 2-3 inches and are a very colorful species of small cichlid. They are also a peaceful cichlid. They like planted tanks with lots of hiding places and actually stay out in the open more when they have mutiple retreats. The chances of spawning these fish greatly increase when you put a group in a larger aquarium. They are a fun little fish that I am planning on keeping here again in the near future.
 
If you want to do some kind of catfish give corydoras or bushynose plecos a try. For cichlids you can try rams, apistos, shelldwelling Africans, N. brichardi...or other neolaprologus species.
 
Rams, apistos, a pair of angels, danios, dwarf corys, pike topminnows.

why not try P. pulcher if you can get nice red bellied adults they are really nice, and easy... and as someone mentioned above shelldwellers, N. multifasciatus is my favourite, are fun to have and breed like pests, hehe
 
You do need a 30 gallon to do the job. You can use something smaller if you want and give it the right environment. Also, if you are serious then try something easy like convict before trying something hard. I'll give you a chance to overcome the little to accomplish the big.
 
I forgot, dwarf red eyed puffers (C. loreti) can be bred in tanks as small as 10g.
