Just do the salt bath like Oddball suggested as it can be tough to find a formalin solution without any additives; the salt is also far less likely to cause any major issues down the road for you & the fish, too.
I am somewhat emotionally invested in these maps so I'll chime in. Does anyone have any personal experiences (good or bad) with either SeaChem Cupramine and CopperSafe by Mardel Labs?
I have used Mardel CopperSafe several times in the past before I started using salt. Its a very safe product provided you aren't using it on scaleless fish or crustaceans. Although I have only used it for ick and nothing like this so I can't say how effective it would be but I can say its safe to use.
Rookie question, how do I do a salt bath? As in what ration of salt per gallons etc.. Last time I tried one the fish flipped upside downand freaked me out.. I'll Google it now but would rather take advice from MFK'ers.
