internal parasite meds then, didnt know it was that late sorry. As soon as you can though go to any saltwater store and get some Metronidazole SeaChem has it.

Time zones man time zones...:duh::p:D

took me ages to catch him but hes ok with anti internal parasite med...i've used it on him before and he got better he had a lil ulcer on his back

My gold sev is a male too and the 2nd biggest fish in my tank and he is the hardest one to catch everytime I hope he gets better though and his 'swelling' goes down.

still no better. i'm going pet shop now to get some med/med food. i treated my 100G tank aswell just in case they have it also :(

i'm almost 100% that its from the stupid bloodworms ....is it possible from frozen food?

If the food was spoiled or left out, I always check the packaging to see if I deem it still "fresh" or not.

huh? i took it out of the freezer and left it to defrost then gave it to them.

Hmm, did you let the whole thing defrost and then put it back in the freezer or did you just cut a little piece off and defrost that. I wouldn't recommend defrosting the whole package, thats like defrosting 5 pork chops and only eating and preparing one and sticking the rest back in the freezer after they have been defrosted, it ruins the meat.

Know what, I don't think it's Camellanus at all. I've battled that parasite myself and it doesn't look like that.

It looks like your fish has a prolapsed rectum. It can be brought on by constipation. If it were my fish I'd feed lots of greens peas and dose epson salts. Maybe add a mild anti-biotic to the water, just to be safe. The only other thing you can do is wait. Most of the time it will heal all by itself (no meds needed.)

seriously i have no idea what to believe thats why i'm sooo stressed well i'm sorting it out now every one has already been treated the meds... i had no salt you see. so i guess i'll just see what happens in the next couple days

and no i dont defrost the whole thing i chop the frozen worms up into lil cubes and bag them put em in freezer to just take a couple out to defrost
