What can I do (need divider URGENT)

Picking up a few fish from a buddy due to him not able to keep them. 20+ inch Dovii 18+inch rare pike cichlid and a gold monkey flowerhorn I need dividers until I figure out where to put everyone im going to need to move around some stock etc. What can I buy from a hardware store besides egg crate(brakes easy when you have a massive Dovii) that I can makeshift into a divider? I dont have lfs near by with dividers large enogh for my size tanks. Also what can I secure the dividers with? I need to come up with something fast. Not an ideal situation but I can never say no to helping a buddy in a pinch. It will all work out I just need to find some temporary solutions until I get stock all situated.

Plastic baby gate. I use them for rays. I take out the metal pieces and replace those with nylon zip ties.

Dead serious. Cheap, sturdy, safe plastic (made for babies to chew on) adjustable etc.. It makes sense if you think about it

light defuse works fine, widge in with a peace of hose, cut to size with diagonal snips, other wise known as wire cutters. its cheep and easy. been using if for years.

I agree with you and use egg crate for a lot of things. OP mentioned dovii. My old dovii would break through eggegg crate easily and cause all kind of trouble. And by trouble I mean kill stuff for fun. Hence the baby gate suggestion.

my bad, see he is talking about a 20" dovii, baby gate would work, curious what size tank is this dovii and such going into? but ya, framed chicken wire be the rout I would go with.

Same here. The baby gate is a great idea.

My old dovii would bust thru doubled up egg crate. I lost a beautiful pair of Rio blanc motas this way...before they were common might I add.
