For a 20" dovii the dividers need bracing, this is how I do it using zip ties.
I also hold the horizontal pieces down with rocks or other heavy objects, and notch the egg crate to snuggly fit into the aquarium rim.

I did something similar before. My midas broke through two dividers (15.5") but then I put some mesh in there and even if it broke it would stay somewhat intact. He later realized theres one way out. He would jump to the other side. The guy was nuts. lol He jumped like 3 inches to get over.
Some beasts were never meant to be caged lol
