What can I do to improve water clarity?

This is what I was thinking as well....even though the tank itself has only been set up a few months...all of the rock, sand, fish and filters came from a well established tank...I did add an additional 50 pounds of sand to the tank...maybe just the natural progression of new bacteria growth will help over time? I did experience an initial ammonia spike after the transfer...but that has since settled!
 
I would do the fx5 first and the UV after. Is the UV needed ? no . will it improve your water quality (by removing algae and unwanted bacteria)? yes.
 
UV for the win. Got one on my 180 gal. Makes a huge difference.

Get a Magnum 350 with micron-core. Will also do the trick.
 
UV sterilizer will deinitely do it. Besides its healthy for parasite defense.
 
you could rearrange your media in your filters. have the xp's for bio and the 110 for polishing. that way your only spending money on more rings or stars or whatever you choose to put in the canisters. that may be an option if your tight on money. or you could do an fx5 or uv sterilizer
 
I had the same problem in my tank it wasent that big but it was still cloudy and the water tested fine i got 5 different kinds of water clarifier befor i tried clarity by seachem it was crystal clear in three hours .
 
A UV would help if you had a algae bloom. I don't think algae is a problem in your tank. It looks like suspended particles from the sand to me. Get a Marineland Magnum 350 and run the micron filter,or get a diatom filter.

Adding a UV won't hurt,but if your not wanting to spend a lot more money,the Magnum or diatom filter should clear things up nicely for you.

You could also try filling up your AC with filter floss. That might clear it up,and would be a very cheap fix.Turning off the Koralia's may help too.

I would think the Koralias help to move the particles to be filtered?! Do you think they are not helping the situation?
