Lionfish wont touch corals, toad fish wont either. Period. Though they mite poke them with a fin or "walk" on them lol and if the rocks are unstable they could be nocked over, but generaly speaking they are a non issue with corals.

THANK YOU!!! Finally someone who knows what they are talking about

Whatever, I gave it to you straight and gave you a conservative answer.

Well, with proper aquascaping no reason it wouldn't work in reef situations.
I never said it wouldnt work, I just said that I wouldnt do it if it was me. I am more of a reefer then I am a fish person, so naturally I tend to look at what is in the best interest of the corals.

I know people have lionfish in their tank and do just fine, but there is always the chance they could damage one.

That's true, you did say you wouldn't do it. Therefore your opinion not what was possible. Sorry about that.

Saying you love a person of the same sex that is not in your family still sounds wrong all around :nilly: Just say you are still friends...

i'd say the issue isn't reef safe (as neither will bother coral) but rather you choosing one or the other because both will get at least 6-7" (the toadfish larger) and a 29 doesn't offer a lot of room to dilute waste (for the coral's sake)
