id say get him on pellets asap and use that as his staple
as for me i have mine on hikari biogold pellets which i feed her everymorning
then i just rotate from hikari foodsticks, crickets, market shrimp, fd krill, and on rare occassions some feeder convicts that i raise myself
My jar is pellet trained. Infact I trained her to accept all sort of brand of pellet and foodsticks.
I prefer hikari tropical foodsticks compared to tetra one. Less messy even if the aro chew on it.
Picture of those pellet I feed to my aros.
My jar practically accept any dead meat I throw in and including live feed. Despite I feeding her these, she will still accept pellet and foodsticks willingly.
hi there! i feed mine whole prawns from the supermarket as he will only eat these or crickets, from i'm reading prawns are the better option, he just won't eat pellets though, i tried starving him for a couple of days but he just chewed them and spit them out again
Mine eat anything they can swallow insects, worms, fish, shrimp, crayfish, lizards, frogs, mice, chicken hatchlings one even ate a huntsman spider they wont eat pellets though!
