What can i keep in the sump?

Ropes may work. Need to keep it covered. Plus depending on the space can keep a few.

Yeah just looked into the ropes a bit more and remembered they need a tank with lid, my sump is open so they are out of the possibility list.

Ropes need a tank an almost air tight tank, they are expert level escape artists. Imagine like, cat mixed with a wiener dog and than crossed with a fish. Actually don't, it's a bit creepy.

For freshwater? NOt so sure they wouldn't just get sucked up by my return pump anyway. Needs to be something bigger i think.
