What can I keep with a Clown?

clown fish will harass alot of passive fish and they dont get along with other fish that belongs to the damsel fish family. if u want to try and pair them up, get a clown fish that is 1/3 the size of ur orignal one, some say its the best way to pair clwon fish.
 
Its not 100% but basically any 2 clowns of the same species will end up pairing up it will just take a few weeks of fighting for the weeker one to revert back to being male.
 
Thanks, maybe I will just get another clown.

Can Arrow crabs live safely with Cleaner Shrimp and Hermit Crabs?
 
i wouldn't mess with trying to pair the clown unless you know the sex of the one you have and the one your buying. as for the angel i wouldn't put that in a 20 by ITSELF! now i would put a gramma in there. colorful, hardy, and smallish. they should fit in with your clown in that tank. and buy a cleaner crew probably including another shrimp, but not a coral banded. i would do two or more sexy shrimp or a cleaner shrimp. the CC should also include about ten hermit, i like the scarlet variety. and either a sand sifting star or a couple of tongan elephant snails.

Why is that?? Clowns are hemaphrodites and change sex when needed. In a pair the female is always bigger. Normally they change from male to female but if need be they can change back to male again.
 
if your tank have a nice cover to prevent fish from jumping... firefish , flame gobies...are cool fish for you... another suggestion yellow head jawfish ... all these are mild mannered fish and will not require a bigger tank in future...
You can keep an pigmy angel , but with time may pick up your clownfish... flame angel, coral beauty would also be fine , but may pick your clown also...
A pair of Banggai cardinal would also be fine and you may even breed them... if you like blk/white fishes ...
any other fish will require new tank sooner or latter ...so choose wisely...
