What can I stock my tank with?

I'm not too well versed on rosey reds, but at my LFS you get 10 roseys for $1. Plus they're generally considered a healthier feeder then goldfish and are very adaptable to different water conditions. I never really used feeders before, but my endli refused every pellet and frozen food I tried for 3 weeks after I got him so I picked up some rosey reds out of desperation. It worked :D

just quarentine some rosy reds and then transfer to the poly tank. they stay in a tight schoal and your bichirs will be able to eat em. plus they look nice.

I was gonna suggest congo's too. They are native to the same region and beautiful when full grown. WAY too expensive as feeders, but it wouldn't be too expensive to restock one or two occasionally. I had a 6" sen eat an albino congo tetra once, cost about $12 to replace.

The rosies are cheaper, but i personally think the congo's are a much more interesting school to observe as the males "race" side by side all around the tank in competition!

i have 7 angel fish leave with my bichirs...they seem really cool with the bichir.
they still not look the angel fish as a food.
maybe my bichirs still small...

my larger bichir are my sen.about 1'
others is about 10-11":D

Okay my lfs doesn't have rosie reds but they did have neons! So 20 neons go in and immediately the two smaller bichirs start following the school, really fascinating to watch! Haven't caught any yet but this will keep them busy. The congos in my area start at $15 for females and $20 for males so ive decided maybe thats not the route to take...yet...
