I was thinking 2 3 footers from my LFS but they are $54 a peice. What do you guys and girls use on your 125 or 6 foot tanks?

I use one 24" single tube, I like the look of the center being bright and the sides in shadows.

I run 2 dual HO T5 48" and 2 dual HO T5 24" fixtures on my 135.

Thats a lot of light!

Just got 4 48" HO T5s for my 120 and its like the freaking sun!

costs quite a bit more than $54 though....

I got a 6' fixture with 4 36" coralife ultra sun bulbs.Got it used thats what it came with. Its nice and bright.

home depot, lowes and walmart have lights called plant and aquarium. They suck and the light is very yellow brown. If you don't have tannins in your water it will make it look like you do.

They also have bulb called natural daylight and artificial sunlight, those are both good.

heres what I have right now:

-dual 48" shop light with 1 artificial daylight and 1 natural sunlight bulb.
-lights that come off a 55g starter kit.
-light from a 29g starter kit.

I just never got around to upgrading and it looks fine.
