What can you say about Fluval Edge?

I am thinking of getting this tank and set it up in my cubicle. Anyone have experience owning one?

Its either that or a 5 gallon acrylic tank.

I think they look good, but would probably be a pain to clean. The only opening is under that black thing on the top of the tank. Other than that they look like awesome little tanks.

They run on a hob filter inside the hood, so that should provide plenty of oxygenation for the water. As for cleaning, just get a little magnetic cleaner. Then you never have to reach inside to clean it.

I really like the look of them, but the price tag on them for a 5g is too much
for me.

i say for the money, find something cool to use as a bowl or just get a cheapo little 5g. or 10 g or .......?

They are on sale at local petsmarts for 100.00 right now (black only). I found them on ebay for 107.00. They are nice looking tanks and if you lice the art deco look, they are worth the price. The lighting is not wonderful in terms of color spectrum, but if you go to plantedtank.net and search for fluval edge, you will get a link to company that makes bulbs for it that swap the halides for LEDs.
The downside it is that you need to purchase the edge gravel cleaner to get into the front corners of the gravel bed.

The sale at Petsmart prompted me to get this tank as well. I am still torn if I should get it or not though...

I saw them today at petsmart for 100 bucks. Strange I was interested. I think it would be a nice betta tank.
