what canister filter.....75g w/4 RBP

ok im looking into getting a cansiter filter and eliminating my stinky hang on filters. what filther would you reccomend for my applications. thanks

It would be a bit overkill but I love the fluval FX5's. I had one on a 90gl and a 180 and each tank always had excelent water quality.

YEAH THE FLUVAL FX5 ARE GREAT IF YOU CAN SHELL OUT 300 PLUS FOR THEM. tHE FLUVAL 405 OR THE RENA ARE GREAT. tHE ONLY ONE i DONT RECOMMEND IS THE CASCADE, I HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WHEN I BOUGHT ONE.

well i was thinking of using like a rena xp3 or a eheim 2217.. opinions??

I haven't used either brands before so I cant really give you a first hand opinion. But I have never heard a bad thing about an eheim.

I have two rena's and they work great. I recommend rena, I havent tried eheim yet.

i belive the fuval is a lil out of my budget, unless someone wants to sell me a used one cheap..LOL

2217s are great filters! I have one running on my 75 and two running on my 180. You can't go wrong with these filters.

One of my 2217s is easily over 10 years old and runs like new.
