Cool beans......I was actually looking to get a 2217 from petsmart but they're on backorder...How was the set-up, parts/pieces, and instructions ? What filter media came with it ? Thanks !

well i got mine used. and it has turned out to be a head ache, it didnt have any media, and that didnt bother me, but it got damaged in shipping and i had to repair the canister, than the top seal started leaking, so i have been trying to find a place localy that caries eheim parts..... not too much luck..

What is your price range for a filter? People can make their recommendations based on that.

i already have a filter. i have just been getting the parts that are band on it replaced.

I just seen a xp5 for 175 bucks, think at big als or dr foster and smith

as far as i know they dont make a xp5... there is a fluval FX5 and a rena XP4... but like i said i already have a filter
