Ferplast Filters Link

I'll have to see if the Eden brand filters have a website? i think its also an Italian company but not sure, but i'll double check when i get home and see if they have a web address i can post up...

Here is the Web Address for EDEN Filters

Okay, the original link i posted for the eden filters doesn't seem to be working, so here is a direct link to the filters page

LINK HERE

i have a fluval 405 on my 90gal. what a POS. i bought it because it was a "great quality" canister, and infact, most LFS around only carry hagen/fluval/tetra/aquaclear brands.

if i were to buy another canister, it would be an eheim. i will never purchase another fluval.

even with new o-rings, they don't seal shut properly, and sometimes leak. the latches are cheap and can break off. the impeller cover broke within the first 3 months of use.

I run 2 Rena filstars on my 180 gal...No problems for 2 years now. I havnt even needed to replace the sponges yet,,,,rinse and reuse...only things i change are carbon and micropolish pads. Way simple disconnect with no water spillage, and a kid could clean the filter and reassemble.

Maybe you got a lemon or something. I've never had any of those problems with my 2 Fluvals. When closed properly, mine never leak and the latches seem very sturdy. Actually, the only broken latch problems I've had are on my Eheim classic

I have had the same problem ( with all three of those parts) with my 403, However is it a old filter. But on the other-side my eheim 2260 is 20 years old and I have just had to replace the o-ring in the last 6 months. so.......if your in for the long run, buy a eheim.
