Yup and look for eheim 2260 media it should be the same. You can save quite a bit using matrix instead of substrate pro.

So if you use sechem matrix,is there any need for filter pads?
I've looked everywhere I know to look and kind not find them.Are the 2260&2262 becoming obsolete?

In order ehfi mech the noodles then the sponge pad. Then the bio then the ehfisynth (White polish pad). As I recall.

this is how I have my 2262 set up, This Filter is fully customizable, you can set it up many diffrent ways. There are many like it but this is how I have mine running, and I have no problems with great results.

I purchased the following items Extra,

1, Blue pad, the thick course stuff not the fine grade. " In the pic, its the one on the Left" I thinks its like 2 or 3 inch thick. I cut this in half for two pieces that will be used.

2, 18 Liters of Siporax filter media, I like the larger biomaterial, Better water flow and it wont get clogged. Also works very well with the bio net bag that is included with the filter.

3, some type of filter wadding, "polish pad"

* From the bottom up,

From the very bottom, Goes the Larger green Lattice Screen,"comes with the filter" then the first Half of the Blue Pad, this traps most of the large crap that goes in the filter. Then the 2262 comes with a large net bag for media, I filled that up with 18 litters of Siporax filter media.
Then after I place the other half of the blue pad on top of that bag of media, it helps to keep everything down, and gives the White polish pad a nice flat surface to goes on Next, just place the polish pad on and make sure all the blue is covered. Then the thinner Lattice Screen goes on last right on top of the white polish pad to keep everything down.

at that's it,

Here are some pics,

Thanks SuperDave,great info!
I didn't have troubles finding the filter itself,just pads for it.I was thinking I could just buy some cut to fit pads,and put in some type of filter floss like you suggested.
BTW, If you are looking for filters in the future,this is the cheapest place I have found,

Thanks again!

Right on good stuff, you get the idea, you just cut the pads your self and your good to go. If you got any other questions down the road just shoot me a PM, good luck!
