true but my suncat is around 6 years old and has been stuck at 12 inch for the last 2 yrs, very rarely do they exceed 12 inch or get anywhere near their potential max of 18 inch. there is one guy on here who has one at around 16 inch iirc.

Do NOT get a Lince cat as someone else noted earlier. I have a 150 and he needs to be rehomed to a larger tank. I also do NOT suggest a red tail cat.
