what cichlid food has the highest protein?

Hahahaha, natural live food supposedly induces breeding. But a lot has to do with environment and privacy too. My 2 Jacks do the whole act of wanting to breed (lip lock, body shake, clear space), but even in my 120 gal it is a very hostile place. And the Jacks are the biggest fish besides the 11" Pleco

the reason i wanted to know is because i heard that high protien induces breeding.

OK, so it's not as a long term diet.

As far as inducing breeding, I know of "conditioning" fish up to breed on live/frozen food diets, but not really on high protein dried foods, although I suppose it could work.

A lot of the urge to breed has to do with the environment that the fish are in, and the water chemistry and temperature.
As the previous poster suggested, the social environment within the tank, and the general "peacefulness" of the tank is quite a big issue for many pairs as to whether they go full into spawning or not.

i could try to breed them. what do you think about super worms?

Dont know about the protein in super worms. But ever cichlid i have ever kept love um. And they are great for there color. Allso blood warms are high in protein and are great for color allso. Why do you want food high in protein to much protein is bad im pretty sure. I only use blood warms 3 times a week for color unhancment. But try not to over do it. I have read a bunch on these forums about to much protein is bad. Im not exspert thow.
