Thank you so much, I received him from an exotic dealer that accidentally obtained him from there dealer. They assumed it was a severum
Depending on the tank size and the size and temperament of your oscar, they may be okay. Chocolates are a lot like oscars and severums in terms of their adult size, requirements, and aggression. My chocolate lived with large severums and pike cichlids. Occasionally when you introduce them for the first time they will size each other up, but that usually calms down when they work out who's boss.
Considering the adult size of chocolates and oscars, I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than a 6' tank for them.
