As the title states, I'm thinking of trying to pair up my female with another cichlid when I upgrade to a bigger tank. If she doesn't seem to get along with any other RDs I was wondering what other fish I could try.

I HATE YOU... SERIOUSLY.

FIND ANOTHER RED DEVIL (EASIER) INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR ANOTHER FISH TO BREED IT WITH(LAMER).

Caps out..

uh ok i don't know if that was sarcasm but anyway:screwy:...you could try a midas

Eh, I got their drift..... because my RD is in no way probably "impure" anyway (that was sarcasm)

Midas? There have been a few barred midas on aquabid lately but I'm still a bit aprehensive about online ordering. So I'm looking around local places, all I found was one male RD her size that was a return but it vanished before I could cycle another tank for him.

Don't produce more hybrids, there's already way to many in the hobby, breed her with another A. labiatus, do the right thing. :D
I don't hate you. But it might be better to bring up such topics on the Flowerhorn boards than a place like this. Ken

The I hate you bit was sarcasm, but seriously why are you throwing more hybrids into the hobby? With all the crosses out there, it seems alot of people have a hard time finding a pure RD or Midas . If you're gonna breed at all, breed something worthwhile. If you really want to know RD/midas aren't hard to hybridize so there are many fish you can breed yours with.

Spend the extra time looking for a pure mate and breed responsibly. If you suspect the one you have is not pure then maybe you should cut it from your program and get one from a reliable source like Fishfarm or TUIC.

UhOh, What are those footsteps I hear?... must be Hybrid supporters.
