They have teeth in both upper and lower jaw...and in the throat...pharangeyal teeth. Some cichlids have teeth that are proportionately large for their body size. So its all relative.

It really depends on the fish, much like temperament.

If were talking about piranhas then were not just talking about cichlids. If thats the case then Pacu's have the biggest teeth. Probably bigger than humans depending on their size. Dont quote me on the latter. They use it to crush nut and hard stuff of that nature.

What about relative to size? Naturally Dovii are going to have bigger teeth as they are bigger fish. Salvini get big teeth for their size.
