what color background with cichlids?

oh i know i need new bulbs. mine are very old and looking very yellow so i'm going to get new bulbs. just not sure as to what temp to get. i don't want anything that is going to look yellow, was thinking 6500k since its supposed to be the most natural daylight, but 10000k might be better. i would prefer slight blue over any yellow look
 
i like 10K light bulbs,i also like how 36 inch fixtures look on 48 inch tanks,corners slightly darker,i hope this helps keep algae growth down also.i use painted black,PFS bottom
 
I prefer black but it has to be a matt black

some good examples guys.

not a bad idea , for the fabric and the velcro. my last background i tried using olive oil to place the background. i like how the back ground sticks to the back, but i am not hapy with some of the bubbleing . seems impossible to get out.
