I want to set up a new 75 for a couple of these guys and keep the best one in it. I'm thinking a red background and red gravel would look great with a big blue fh. Would it affect the color of the fish at all? I want to get background and everything in place before tank is set up this time lol. Any suggestions?

I highly suggest a Blue Background, Flowerhorns are less stressed with this type of color, thats why we use it the most, also helps to bring out there color more, I always go with natural color stones, due to the dyes they use on those colored ones, I wouldnt suggest them... I would rather not put stones in the tank at all due to the bad bacteria that grow under them, knowing that flowerhorns suffer from many types of diseases easily its better not to have the... just my opinion...
