Hi,

Apart from red colour is there any others that make bichirs colour stand out? Not sure I like the look of red colour substrate!

Thank you

Black also brings out more greens in upper jaws. Have you looked at garnet? It's not a deep red, but makes just about anything look good on it. Also what types of polys are you looking to put on this substrate?

Thanks for your replies! I have a few endli's now and been looking around for absolutely ages for PBB, Laps and Congicus! No luck so far guess there not that popular here in the UK!

If you don't like straight up red, then I would go with garnet. Almost anything else will keep them from their potential looks.

Thanks Dr. B, do you go for gravel or sand or something in between? As we speak I have just reserved 2x Lapradei's @ 9"! Finally found some after months and months hunting!!!

Would anyone on here give me some advice on how to tell if the Lapradei im going to buy is good quality? Wild caught or CB? Shop says its around 9" and colour as you could imagine are washed out. Thanks

Supposedly that would be the best idea to but going to shop is some distance away and posting a picture I would not get a quick reply, so any advice or tips would be really appreciated!
