What colour substrate

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Check out my posts in this forum. I use Estes Ceramaquartz "Teak" sand. Its a nice tan/orange and my polys look awesome on it.

Hmm check the fins and tail and over body should be normal. Any visual abnormalities should be a cause of concern.

If colors are faded then its kind if difficult to check for a WC or CB check with the store of origin. Dr.B Dr.B is an expert let see his input on this.

Thanks, I will wait for Dr. B to see if he can have an input!

I wish I did have pics so I can upload them now and get some advice! I won't get pics till I see the fish on Sunday!

Found this available in the UK. I have had a look at this when it is still in the packaging, it is very fine sand and does not look red! Any have any thoughts on this!!image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I'd probably buy just enough to cover the bottom and just see if you like it over the next few weeks. It doesn't look too red, but depending on how limited your choices are, it may be your only current option.

It is all I can find right now! Can't find any of the garnet stuff! Other then this it would be red gravel which i don't like!
