Mine always say " I am going to get a tank as well, will you help me when I get mine?"
and the worst of all is for the ones who have tanks "Were did you get that at I want one too" They usually have a 20g up to a 55g and there looking at the biggest fish I have. I just laugh! Lately it's been "Damn your getting another tank?" I have gotten three tank's in the last four month's and I only got back into the hobby in the last five months! HEHEHE!

I find it strange, they always say oh i would love to have a tank set up but it is too much work... i quess i am strange to them because i find it pleasure.. i get along with all the LFS people ..i can talk fish talk and they understand me..where friends are limited in this... kind of hard to get a fish conversation going with them at times. other then wow or oh he is nice, or whats that or why do you have so many...but it was the same with horses..unless you were a horse person the others don't understand. I always think they don't know what their missing..in the lFS the other day i saw this well dressed man saying to his wife..i would love to have a fish tank ..and a few fish..she said oh honey it is nice ,but honey it is too much work.. i wanted to say something to her but i didn't..i wanted to tell her how can you deprive your husband of a darn fish tank{she looked like she never worked a day in her life}spoiled type..etc..sad.. so we have fish forums!!! :grinno:

this is a good thread :). anyways, some people from my neighborhood came over last night for the game and my 55gal sw tank is in our livingroom and a few of them were saying nice things about it. they asked me how much harder sw was then fw and how i clean it and w/e. it was actually pretty good. i would rather have a nice pred or two in the tank than the small colorful fish though.

o ya and the best part was no one said "NEMO!!" when they saw my clownfish lol.

my mom's friend just came over and screamed when she saw my bichirs. Thought they were snakes

I just got rid of my 135gal African Cichlid tank, always had people ask if it was saltwater because the colors were great, told them now they are freshwater. With my larger tank they always asked what was the eel looking think on top, Black Aro, and what's the orange fish, my petsmart Midas/RD. Can't wait to hear the comments when I put up the 240gal (which is replacing my 135 I just got rid of) and have a Fahaka in it, and if he places nice a few other large fish. "When did you get a salt tank with a puffer in it?"

so guy came over to our house to buy a guitar and said " wow thats a beautiful sw tank, I used to have a fw tank" my wife said um... that is a fw tank.. lol
