When I still had a tank of breeding cons people reall liked to ask "What are those little squigelly things and why are the two big ones moving them around?"


People seem to think I dont need a filtration system on my 55 cause i have a 12'' and 9'' plec in there, is Just laugh and shake my head.

Most people know what an angelfish looks like, but when people say "That catfish looks funny because its whiskers are right under its head", I tell them its an angel fishes pelvic fins and they say, "So its a catfish right"?

i have a friend who's sister has about 5 large fantails in a 10 gallon tank, never cleans it, and you cant even see into it. Whenever she comes over she always says "you know its not good to have a clean tank. They cant build immunities without a lot of algea and stuff. how often do you clean? once a week! OMG i'm surprised your fish are still alive. why dont you read a fish book or something?"

thats when i say ohhh yeah.... god i wish i had a whole tank of fish mites! mmmmmm

Most people when they walk into my house they are amazed by a 90 gallon with a couple of cichlids, and I tell them that tank is nothing compared to others. But since getting into the hobby 3 of my friends have bought tanks as well to put in their house. One got a 55 the other a 46 bow. The thing I hate most is the comment about sw. You should have a sw tank fw is boring. Or why take all the effort? Some people just dont get it.
