Currently researching a new PC, single core and small RAM isn't cutting it anymore. I'm looking to build mostly for standard home use and for photography(hoping to get Nikon 5100 in near future) with no interest in gaming. This pc was built by my brother-in-law who isn't on speaking terms with my wife so I can't solicit him for advice, any suggestions on good reference sites will be greatly appreciated. I've installed power supplies, upgraded memory, and installed ethernet cards but a ground up build is a little intimidating. I casually shopped all the goods on newegg and in typical MFK fashion I over built for my needs to the tune of $1200 before software.
