bump, please

hmm, my mum bought a goldfish before, a very very large oranda. she didnt know no better and bought it form a fish store on one of her outings with my grandmother about 2 hours away from our home. the gold fish was infested with fish lice. i had to grab a few at a time. and plac ehim back in a container of water for a hour or so then remove several more. the fish lice moved around after i peeled them off, they were clear adn did look like bumps, like a jelly clear. untill i got them off then i noticed little brown speckles in the middle. might want to take your pictures to a pet store or something. it is a possibility thats what it is but not shure, i hope you can find out and let us know what it is.

Hi Miguel old pal...

For sure, those looked like anchor worm to me at their initial stage of growing. You have to treat it with Dimilin solution. Not too sure if you can get that at where u are?

If you need me to send a bottle to you, let me know.

I had this on my aro one time, when I added a new fish to the tank......
Well it sort of looks like it.....does that look like little cotton ball, with what looks like a little worm sticking out?
I treated with Maroxy, link below.

and it went away...

Hi Miguel,

I think flagtail is right. I had that before with my RTG and I had tried all types of anti parasites(was not able to try MarOxy). My last resort was to actually scrape off the parasites manually. This was the only thing that worked for me.

that aro is too big for me to control without big help. I would prefer to try other, less intrusive measures.....

but firts, with your help, I would like to know what it is, lice, anchor worms? something else?

From your picture, it's not lice or anchor worm, can you confirm that there is a very small white worm that is coming out of the white mound?

I had my RTG anaesthesized for the "operation"

would there be any other way? heat? salt? medication?

While researching treatment methods I would isolate the guy NOW so you wont have to do this to your entire comm!
