I like platies. I like both domestic platy species (the ones we've taken and hybridized/developed different color variations with, variatus and maculatus) x. maculatus with its wide array of color variations and cute stubby body, and x.variatus with its size and different array of colors. I'm thinking of using a mix of maculatus and variatus as dithers for a honduran red point or two. I intend to use marigold and blue wag maculatus, (shown below)
and a few red tailed black variatus.
The only colors/forms of variatus platy I see are high fin, red wag, sunset, red tailed blue, tuxedo, red, 'mickey mouse', and the wild type(s).
Are there any other variatus color morphs? google hasn't helped me with my searches...
