What Direction to take our 300 gallon tank?

Yep. I totally forgot about rays. And then there's the whole P-Bass thing. Could do a big Eartheater tank, too. There's a lot to this aquaria thing. And that's not even Considering Marine tanks. How much would it cost to do RO water filter, corals, lights to grow coral, all the salt to condition water for water changes. Live rock. Corals cost more than Pleco's!

Oh gosh, I would not even attempt a marine tank, but they are awesome! I might put the cichlids, well most of them, in my 75 gallon and do something else with the 300 as you all advised. Can all the guys I have, minus some convicts, go in a 75 gal?

What do you all think of a planted discus and stingray tank? Is that too crazy?! I finally have my dream tank and now I don't know what to do, LOL!

Discus and some of the Smaller ray species will probably work (not the tiger in the pic earlier which will push 35 inches as an adult) but the plants will be ruined by the rays digging. I am a ray guy, awesome animals always entertaining and intelligent. GL

the discus would be beautiful in a planted tank. take your time! look at tank set ups, read, research- have fun. you don't have to do it right now. that's a huge tank- the possibilities are endless..

You could discus and plants. You MIGHT get away with rays and discus. But all 3 in one tank wouldn't work. Gotta make a decision. You can do whatever you want, but not everything you want-/not all at once anyways.
