That is not a case of anchorworms. Anchorworms have branched out tip on their ends and clearly, this is not the case at all. I have never seen anchorworms attack the fish in this manner.

How can you be sure this is viral? This doesn't look like one to me either.

My first impression was flukes. Does it scratch badly? How do the gills look? The skin discoloration and fraying of fins are telltale signs to me.

Llooks like a parasite to me are the scales coming loose or dos it have some kinda worm hanging off of it ? And yes definitely quarantine the fish immediately let me do some reading ill see what i can find

the scales arent coming loose and it doesnt look like a parasite to me. Imo it doesnt look like ich either b/c ich is like a circle such as in the pic..but on my orino it looks fuzzier but not like fungus fuzzy..all water parameters are good rite now..

it doesnt scratch too badly from what ive seen standing in front of it...the gills look okay nothing too bad....does it look like ich to u lupin?

It's far from ich. There's no classic well defined white spots in the pics that I can see.

thats what i was thinking too...so right now should the high temps +salt be good enough? should i treat it for fluke now?

The salt won't be enough to kill suspected flukes. Prazi is a very mild treatment and can work with two types of flukes. Treat all fish involved with it.

oh okay...the prazi is pretty safe right? i have a channel catfish, clown loach, and a bahia in the tank he was in. Those are the ones im kinda worried about
