That is not a case of anchorworms. Anchorworms have branched out tip on their ends and clearly, this is not the case at all. I have never seen anchorworms attack the fish in this manner.
How can you be sure this is viral? This doesn't look like one to me either.
My first impression was flukes. Does it scratch badly? How do the gills look? The skin discoloration and fraying of fins are telltale signs to me.
